Made a couple stops in the midwest yesterday on route to Denver. The Mississippi River is cresting, turning parking lots into fishing holes. These guys were fishing an easy 100 yards from where the bank of the river normally lies. I received a high five here from a fan of the NASA Van. In Lawrence, Kansas a little past midnight, I saw Randy Regier's ‘NuPenny' for the second time (the first being in Salina, Kansas a year ago). It glows like a beacon on a dead end street on the outskirts of town. It’s an amazing piece. Luckily for me it started to rain which eventually pushed me into leaving. I could have spent way too much time there examining all it’s details. Spencer Museum of Art
