12,006' is the highest I've physically been (outside the pressurized shelter of an airliner). For perspective, 10,000' is where the flight attendants tell you that's it's ok to take out your electronic devices etc. I'm standing 2,000' above that. I didn't hike up to this point. I drove most of the way on Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous paved road in the United States. It's only open 4 months of the year due to snow accumulation. Some things out here are just flat out different. The air here is 1/3 less oxygen rich. This is my, where is the oxygen and why is it 42* degrees in July face.
